Who We Are
Upkeeping is an iOS home maintenance reminder app developed by Apps by Murphy. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at AppsByMurphy@Gmail.com.
Information We Do Not Collect
Apps by Murphy does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information. Specifically, we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or contact information
- Your location data
- Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
- Usage data, analytics, or crash reports
- The content of your tasks, notes, or home information
- Any data about the notifications you receive
Data Storage
All information you enter into Upkeeping — your tasks, due dates, completion history, and preferences — is stored on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you are signed into iCloud, this data is also synced to your private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit service so it is available across your devices. This sync is between you and Apple — Apps by Murphy has no access to your iCloud data at any time.
Your data is yours. If you delete the app, all data stored locally by Upkeeping is removed from your device. Any data in your iCloud account can be deleted by signing into icloud.com or through iOS Settings. We have no copy of your data and cannot recover it.
Notifications
Upkeeping uses local notifications to remind you about upcoming maintenance tasks. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device — they do not pass through any server operated by Apps by Murphy.
You can manage or disable notifications at any time in the iOS Settings app under Upkeeping → Notifications.
In-App Purchases
Upkeeping offers an optional subscription (Upkeeping Pro) to unlock unlimited tasks and additional features. All purchases are processed securely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit 2. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.
Apple's handling of payment data is governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy. To manage or cancel your subscription, go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Third-Party Services
Upkeeping does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or social media platforms. The only services used are Apple's own: the App Store for distribution, StoreKit for payment processing, and CloudKit for optional iCloud sync. Each of these is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
Upkeeping is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not contain content inappropriate for any age group. Because we collect no personal data from any user, we have no concerns specific to users under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
iCloud Sync & Backups
Upkeeping uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your task data privately across your own devices when you are signed into iCloud. This sync happens between your devices and your personal iCloud account — Apps by Murphy does not have access to this data.
Additionally, if you have iCloud Backup enabled, your device data — including data stored by Upkeeping — may be backed up to your iCloud account. Both CloudKit sync and iCloud Backup are controlled entirely by you through iOS Settings. You can disable iCloud sync for Upkeeping at any time in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Upkeeping.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and post the updated version here. Material changes that affect your rights will be communicated through an app update release note. Your continued use of Upkeeping after a policy change constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
Your Rights
Because Upkeeping collects no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, export, correct, or delete on your behalf. All of your data is on your device and in your private iCloud account, under your full control. You can delete all local app data at any time by uninstalling Upkeeping from your iPhone, and you can remove iCloud data via icloud.com or iOS Settings.
If you have any questions about your privacy or believe something in this policy is inaccurate, please contact us.
