Privacy Policy and Support
None. KJV Only Bible has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no account system. There is nothing to sign up for. We do not know who you are, what you read, or that you have installed the app at all.
Your bookmarks, highlights, reading progress, memory verses, review history, and reading plans are kept on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, they also sync to your other devices through your own private iCloud database. That data is held by Apple under Apple's privacy policy and is never accessible to us. Sync can be turned off in the app's settings, and doing so leaves everything on the device it is already on.
The recorded narration is optional and downloaded a book at a time from a public file host (GitHub). Requesting a file means that host can see the request was made, in the same way it would for any file downloaded from a web address. Nothing identifying you, and nothing about your reading, is sent with it — the request is for a file and nothing more. Downloaded audio is stored on your device and can be removed in the app at any time.
If you turn on the daily reminder, the notification is scheduled by your device and delivered by your device. No reminder is sent from a server, and we are not told whether you opened it.
If you turn on the option to flag a verse that sounded wrong, the flags are stored with the rest of your reading data — on your device, and in your own iCloud if sync is on. They are only ever sent to us if you choose to email them, which opens your own mail app with the message prepared so you can see exactly what it says before sending. Those emails contain the verse references you flagged and the app version. They contain nothing else.
KJV Only Bible uses no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or crash-reporting services. The app has no third-party dependencies of any kind.
KJV Only Bible is appropriate for all ages. Because we collect no data, there are no special considerations for younger users.
If we ever change this policy, the updated version will be published at this URL. Significant changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
Something not working, a question about a feature, or a verse that sounded wrong in the recorded voice? Email AppsByMurphy@Gmail.com and a person will read it. It helps to say which device you are on and which verse or screen the trouble was on.
The app can also gather flagged verses for you. In the app, open Me, then Settings, then The Recorded Voice, and turn on the option to flag a bad reading. A flag button appears while a chapter is being read, and the list can be emailed from the same screen with everything already filled in.
For anything else, including questions about this policy, email AppsByMurphy@Gmail.com
