Before It Renews is a subscription reminder app developed by Michael Murphy. We take your privacy seriously and design the app to keep all your data under your control.
We do not collect any personal information from you. Before It Renews stores all your subscription data (such as subscription names, renewal dates, amounts, notes, and reminder settings) locally on your device using local storage (e.g., SwiftData). No data is ever sent to our servers, third-party services, or anyone else.
The app does not require you to create an account, log in, sign up, or provide any personal details. There is no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, tracking technology, or third-party SDKs that collect data in Before It Renews.
All reminders and notifications are delivered locally on your device — we never access or see your subscription information.
Before It Renews offers a free tier (first 5 subscriptions) and a Pro upgrade via in-app purchase or lifetime purchase. All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple through the App Store. Apple collects only the information necessary for the transaction, governed by Apple's privacy policy. We do not receive or store any payment or billing details.
All your subscription and reminder data remains exclusively on your device. There is no cloud sync or external backup unless you choose to back up your device via iCloud or another method (in which case your data is encrypted and subject to Apple's iCloud terms and your device backup settings).
We implement standard device-level security practices, but as all data is local, the primary protection comes from your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, etc.).
We may update this policy occasionally to reflect app changes or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available here and will be noted with the updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
